WELCOME TO WRITERS UNIT #30

Membership is open to all philatelic writers, columnists, editors, publishers and anyone interested in philatelic communication.

Our Journal: The Writers Unit’s quarterly journal, The Philatelic Communicator , offers a wide spectrum of news and articles of interest and benefit to philatelic writers, columnists, editors and publishers. Submissions for publication in this journal are always welcome from any source. The journal also provides information about worldwide philatelic literature competitions and lists the results of these events. Subscription to the journal is included in the membership dues.

Seminars are usually held in conjunction with the Great American Stamp Show.

Literature Competitions: The Writers Unit supports literature competitions in all national exhibitions. It sponsors the Literature Grand Award at the Great American Stamp Show each year.

Sarasota Article Literature Competition: The Writers Unit sponsors this exhibition of single philatelic articles. Articles can be printed or electronically delivered articles related to the collection and study of postage stamps and stationery, postal history, revenue stamps, stamped paper, Cinderella stamps, and associated specialized fields. A Membership Meeting is held on Sunday mornings in conjunction with the Great American Stamp Show.

Hall of Fame: The Writers Unit sponsors the Philatelic Writers Hall of Fame. The annual induction ceremony is held at the Great American Stamp Show. A plaque on public display at the American Philatelic Research Library displays the names of the inductees.
